TOUR ITINERARY

Start: Juanda International Airport, Surabaya (09:00 AM) | End: Surabaya (estimated arrival in the afternoon)

 DAY 1 :    Arrival in Surabaya – Transfer to Banyuwangi

• 09:00 AM – Pick-up at Juanda International Airport, Surabaya.
• 09:30 AM – Start the journey to Banyuwangi (approx. 6-7 hours drive).
• 12:30 PM – Stop for lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense).
• 04:30 PM – Arrive in Banyuwangi, check in to the hotel, free programme.
• 08:00 PM – Rest early to prepare for the Ijen Midnight Tour the next morning.

 DAY 2 :   Ijen Midnight Tour – Transfer to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall Area

• 00:30 AM – Pick up from the hotel for the Ijen Midnight Tour.
• 01:30 AM – Arrive at Paltuding Base Camp, the starting point for the Ijen trek.
• 02:00 AM – Start the trekking to Kawah Ijen crater (approx. 1.5 - 2 hours).  The trek is about 3 km uphill with moderate difficulty.  Along the way, you may see sulfur miners carrying heavy sulfur blocks.
• 03:30 AM – Arrive at the crater rim and descend to see the Blue Fire phenomenon.  This is a rare natural event caused by sulfur gas combustion, visible only at night. The descent is steep and rocky, requiring extra caution.
• 05:30 AM – After witnessing Blue Fire, watch the sunrise over the turquoise crater lake.
• 07:00 AM – Trek back down to the base camp.
• 08:30 AM – Return to the hotel for breakfast and freshen up.
• 11:00 AM – Check out and start the journey to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall area (approx. 6-7 hours drive).
• 06:00 PM – Arrive at Tumpak Sewu area, check in at the accommodation, and rest.
• 08:30 PM – Free time & overnight stay.

 DAY 3 :  Tumpak Sewu Waterfall – Transfer to Bromo Area

• 06:30 AM – Breakfast at the homestay.
• 07:00 AM – Start the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall Trek.  A short walk to the Panoramic Viewpoint, where you get a breathtaking aerial view of the horseshoe-shaped waterfall.  Descend to the waterfall base (around 30-45 minutes trek), crossing steep paths and small rivers.  Explore Goa Tetes, a cave with beautiful cascades and unique rock formations.
• 10:30 AM – Trek back up to the entrance and freshen up.
• 12:00 PM – Check out and start the journey to Bromo area (approx. 4-5 hours drive).
• 01:30 PM – Stop for lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense).
• 05:30 PM – Arrive in Bromo, check in to the hotel, and rest.
• 07:00 PM – Dinner at a local restaurant (optional).
• 08:30 PM – Free time & overnight stay.

 DAY 4 :  Bromo Sunrise Tour – Transfer Back to Surabaya

• 03:00 AM – Pick up by 4WD Jeep for the Bromo Sunrise Tour.
• Option: on weekends we recommend leaving early at around 2am to avoid traffic on the sunrise spot route.
• 04:30 AM – Arrive at Penanjakan Viewpoint (or King Kong Hill) to witness the spectacular sunrise. This is the best viewpoint to see the golden sunrise illuminating Mount Bromo, Mount Semeru, and the surrounding landscape. It can be very cold, so wearing warm clothes is recommended.
• 06:00 AM – After sunrise, descend to the Sea of Sand by Jeep.
• 06:30 AM – Start the hike to Mount Bromo’s crater.  A short 15-20 minute walk across the Sea of Sand will take you to the base of Bromo.  Then, climb 250 steps to reach the crater rim and witness the active volcanic crater up close.
• 08:00 AM – Return to the Jeep and drive to Teletubbies hill
• 10:00 AM – Breakfast at the hotel and freshen up.
• 10:30 AM – Check out and start the journey back to Surabaya (approx. 3.5 – 4 hours drive).
• 03:00 PM – 05:00 PM – Estimated arrival in Surabaya (depending on traffic & flight schedule).
• Drop off at Surabaya Airport / Hotel.
• End of tour – Thank you for traveling with us!
