TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1 : EXPLORE IJEN CRATER BLUE FIRE

00.00-00.30 : Pick up participant in Banyuwangi city ( hotel/station/harbor) , Our professional team will pick you up at Banyuwangi city area (hotel/homestay/station/city square), we suggest you prepare 30 minutes before pick up time (depending on your location as well).

00.30-01.00 : Drive to Paltuding area,  At midnight or around 00.30-01.00 the Ijen Expedition team will pick you up. So before that time you should prepare everything, warm clothes and personal gear. Then we will head to the parking post area (paltuding post) which is the starting point of our climb. The journey takes about 1 hour

02.00 : Start tracking Ijen Mountain,  Arriving at Paltuding Kawah Ijen post, we will take a break while sipping a cup of coffee/tea and prepare to be accompanied by our professional guide. Around 02.00 the ascent of the Ijen crater will begin. You will need about 1.5-2 hours to climb Ijen Crater. You will walk for 3 kilometres with uphill and flat tracks. At kilometre 2 you can take a short break at the last post called the circle post. And then we will start climbing again towards the top of Mount Ijen which has an altitude of 2,799 meters above sea level.

03.30-04.00 : Explore Blue Fire Ijen Crater,  At around 03.30/04.00 depending on your physical strength, you will reach the top of Ijen, after that you will go through the downhill path again to reach the crater rim, after approximately 30-45 minutes along the rocky road which is quite extreme, you will see a beautiful phenomenon that there are only 2 in the world, namely Blue Fire. You can take as many pictures as possible with your professional tour guide. You will also see where the local sulfur miners are who are also on the same path with you, our advice is when you want to take pictures with the object of the person you should ask permission first, they go up and down the mountain can be 3-4 times a night to transport sulfur, because their work is very heavy you can give a little tip to them, have a nice day.

04.30-05.30 : Hunting Sunrise Ijen Peak,  And around 4:30am, we will climb to the top of the crater to enjoy the sunrise from above. You will be amazed by the dazzling panorama of the Ijen Crater, with the acidic water lake whose water turns turquoise, and the panoramic sunrise of the Ijen peak. From the summit to the sunrise point takes about 30-45 minutes.

07.00 : Back to parking area,  After enjoying the natural scenery at Kawah Ijen and then descending the slopes of Kawah Ijen. The vehicle and driver are waiting for you in the paltuding post area. You will return to paltuding post and then return to the hotel / homestay with the same vehicle.

09.00 : Drive back to hotel,Conclude the Ijen Crater adventure with a comfortable drive back to your hotel, marking the end of this unforgettable journey. TOUR’S SERVICES FINISHED
